1. create a backup of your shop<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before you start Magento<\/a> to Shopify<\/a> migrate, you should make sure that your shop's data is safe and secure. To create a backup of your Magento shop, go to \u201eSystem\u201c > \u201eTools\u201c > \u201eBackups\u201c in the admin sidebar. Select the type of backup you want to create.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. export your data from Magento<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before you enter your data in Shopify<\/a> you have to import them from Magento<\/a> export. It is important that you export all relevant data such as customer information, orders and products. Open the Magento backend and go to the menu item \u201eSystem\u201c > \u201eExport\u201c. Select the desired data and export it as a CSV file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. check your data for errors<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Before you enter your data in Shopify<\/a> you should check them thoroughly for errors and inconsistencies. This also includes checking the assignment of product images and variants. Especially if the Magento data is already incorrect or incomplete, it can be difficult to recognise these errors during the check. In such a case, we recommend that you seek advice from an experienced E-commerce experts<\/a> or a Shopify Partner <\/a>support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. prepare your data for import into Shopify<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To ensure that your data can be imported correctly, you should import it into Shopify<\/a> prepare. This includes converting the data into CSV format and checking for incorrectly formatted data. Also check whether all the required data is available and add any missing data manually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5. prepare your Shopify shop for the import<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

So, don't get discouraged and optimise the import bit by bit. Finally, browse through your online shop and check all the functions, such as adding products, placing an order and creating customers. Also test all payment and shipping options and check that all data is saved correctly in the system.\u200d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
