The Bauhaus Shop in Berlin Charlottenburg offers exclusive design items by Bauhaus artists from all over the world. The focus is on Scandinavian and Japanese design. The challenge<\/h2>

The biggest challenge for the new online shop was to present the variety of products - from furniture to accessories - in a modern and easy-to-use design. The target group are design-savvy customers with high demands on quality and aesthetics. The old system could barely cope with the mobile traffic and the growing product catalogue. In addition, there was the requirement to migrate the products cleanly from Lightspeed to Shopify. The shop also needed to integrate a new point-of-sale (POS) system to synchronise online and offline stock.<\/p>\nbauhaus-shop.de<\/a><\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The solution<\/h2>

We relied on Shopify to create a balance between ease of use and powerful functionality. The new, responsive design is optimised for use on all devices and reflects the Bauhaus style. The website also tells the story of the Bauhaus movement and presents the products not only elegantly, but also with their stories. Shopify offers excellent storytelling modules that make it possible to effectively integrate content into the shop. This allows the Bauhaus Shop team to easily manage products and flexibly add new features. The POS integration also ensures real-time synchronisation of stock, sales and customer data, which improves the customer experience and makes operations more efficient.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The benefit<\/h2>

The new shop has increased the average shopping basket value by 41 %. The modern design and intuitive navigation make it pleasant for customers to browse and invite them to buy. The shop operator benefits from much simpler management of products and orders. Thanks to Shopify, the shop can be flexibly expanded and can easily respond to growing requirements. In this way, the Bauhaus shop remains future-proof and strengthens the bond with its design-savvy customers in the long term.<\/p>\n<\/div> <\/div>\n <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n

The result<\/h2>

The relaunch of the Bauhaus shop has significantly improved the shopping experience and internal processes. The design embodies the Bauhaus character and is ready for the future. New functions are added regularly, as Shopify often already offers them in the basic version.
